Algebridges is a game intended to help students practice basic algebra. The objective of the game is to help a character escape from being eaten by a monster, by solving the randomly generated algebraic equations he encounters.

INSTRUCTIONS

Algebridges currently has 6 different levels, with equations increasing in complexity at higher levels. Players are allowed to choose the level for each round.

When the game begins, a player will see their character running across a bridge with a monster chasing close behind and an equation appearing in the middle of the screen.

The numeric keypad beneath the bridge can be used to enter correct x-values to solve the equation. Correct x-values increase the distance between the player and the monster, while incorrect x-values allow the monster to gain ground on the player. The (+/-) circle can be used to toggle between positive & negative numbers at higher levels whenever necessary.

For each round, at any level, a player may encounter up to 25 equations. The player’s score (a percentage expressed in terms of the number of correct answers over the number of total attempts) is shown beside a green check mark. A score of at least 75% correct answers is required to beat a level.
